Modul 2 – Advanced extractions

In this module we are looking at surgical extractions of more complicated teeth (carnassials, molars and canines).

We also practice how to handle complications such as fractured roots and root remnants that try to escape into the mandibular canal or nasal cavity.

The course will focus on practical sessions with both demonstrations and individual working on specimens.

The aim is to learn how to choose the right equipment for the procedures, the right approach for any extraction and to be able to handle any challenge that complications can give during dental extractions.

09.00-12.00    Theory;  difficult surgical extractions and possible complications
12.00-13.00 Lunch
13.00-17.00 Practical wet-lab; demonstration of procedures for advanced surgical extractions, followed by participants performing the procedures.

Friday April 24^th 2026

09.00-12.00    Practical wet-lab; demonstration of procedures for advanced surgical extractions, followed by participants performing the procedures.
12.00-13.00 Lunch
13.00-17.00 Practical wet-lab; demonstration of procedures for advanced surgical extractions, followed by participants performing the procedures.

Kurset er lagt opp for en liten gruppe på maks 14 deltakere for å sikre tett veiledning og god tid til øvelser.

Kurset ledes av Jens Ruhnau, en av Europas mest erfarne forelesere innen veterinær odontologi, med lang klinisk og undervisningserfaring.
