Humeral condyle reduction forceps
With a gape of approximately 3mm - 45mm, they are ideal for a number of applications, but have been optimised for humeral condylar repairs in French Bulldogs and Springer Spaniels. The generous jaw curvature prevents pinching of soft tissues close to the jaws and permits the joint to be more easily put through its range-of-motion with the forceps in place.
Their sharp points bite very well and are excellent for percutaneous use. The jaw shape allows landmarks to be more easily palpated during application and other instruments used alongside, even when used in multiple pairs. Furthermore, they are light and not too long, so their unsupported weight is less inclined to pull fragments back out of reduction – especially useful when working without a scrubbed assistant.
