IDEXX Catalyst SDMA 12
The new Catalyst SDMA Test
Get the accurate results you trust in fewer steps
It’s easier than ever to run the Catalyst SDMA Test with every chemistry profile.
The Catalyst SDMA Test you rely on to assess kidney function just got even easier to use. By removing the cup and bringing the reagent into the slide, we’ve reduced the number of steps and streamlined the process. Get results faster and hear everything your patients’ kidneys have to say.
What's changed
- Convenient storage: Now in the freezer, making it easier to grab and go when getting other Catalyst slides.
- Simpler workflow and faster results: No more reagent cups. Now that the reagent has been incorporated into the slide, you can simply add the slide to your chemistry run for faster results.
- New product numbers: Just sign in to IDEXX Online Orders to see all the ways to order SDMA with your other chemistries.
- Ordering kits: The Catalyst SDMA and Total T4 Kit will be discontinued, but the tests can still be purchased as a bundle.
What's staying the same?
- The industry-leading, reliable accuracy you’ve come to expect so you can gain deeper insights into kidney function.
- Ordering convenience: SDMA will still be included in your most commonly run profiles—get everything you need in one click.
- Flexibility to add to any profile in any order.
- Same quantity, less bulk: You’ll still get 12 tests per box, but smaller packaging means easier storage and less waste.
Pets can’t talk to you about their kidneys. Catalyst® SDMA can.
The Catalyst® SDMA Test will be available exclusively on Catalyst One® and Catalyst Dx® chemistry analysers.
IDEXX first launched the IDEXX SDMA™ Test at its reference laboratories in 2015, and has run more than 12 million SDMA patient tests, creating the world’s largest database on kidney disease in dogs and cats. The IDEXX SDMA™ Test is a kidney test proven to identify kidney disease earlier than creatinine, enabling veterinarians to intervene earlier to meaningfully impact a patient’s health outcomes and quality of life.
SDMA is the subject of more than 30 ongoing research collaborations and has been incorporated into the veterinary profession’s International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) kidney disease staging guidelines.
