Dental restorations and vital pulpectomies

Participants will learn to evaluate traumatized teeth to choose for adequate treatment. The practical part will include demonstrations and hands-on wet-lab training the use of filling materials to do sealing of exposed dentine and restauration of damaged teeth, whenever needed. Also partiel pulpectomy will be taught and trained. Partiel pulpectomy is the first step in to the world of endodontics, working within the pulp chamber. Participants are veterinarians (and their dental team) who is interested in dentistry. Participants is expected to be familiar with dental x-rays; obtaining and evaluating pictures.

Day one:

Morning session
Theory on dental fractures, trauma and developmental abnormalities.
Theory on filling materials.

Afternoon session
Demonstration on sealing procedures and restaurations with composite material.
Practicals on sealing procedures and restaurations with composite material.

Day two:

Morning session
Theory on vital pulpectomies
Demonstration; Vital pulpectomy

Afternoon session
Practicals on vital pulpectomies

Kl. 09:00 - 17:00

Prisen inkluderer kursavgift, kursmateriell, lunsj fredag og lørdag, kaffe, te, kaker, frukt og mineralvann i alle pauser. Festmiddagen på hotellet etter første kursdag faktureres ikke, da dette er en gave fra oss til kursdeltakeren.

  • Since 1995 working in private small animal practice (Dogs, cats, rabbits and rodents).
  • Specialized in veterinary dentistry since 1997.
  • EBVS European Veterinary Specialist in Dentistry 2004.
  • Danish Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry 2005.
  • Opened a referral Veterinary Dental Specialist Clinic in Copenhagen 2007, now working as head of surgery there.
  • Since 2000 cooperated with several Zoological gardens in the region, doing dentistry on numerous of exotic species.
  • Teaching veterinary dentistry to veterinarians and technicians, lectures and practical courses all over the world.
  • Many years of experience as board member of European Veterinary Dental Society (EVDS) and European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC). At present Immediate Past President of EVDC.
